Welcome to my Web site!  As we start the process to elect our next President and Vice President, we the American people, have many decisions to make.  I hope that each American citizen will look at the issues and vote for the candidate which they, in their heart, thinks will advance our country.  I, for one, am very dissatisfied with all the candidates from both parties.  I hear the same old rhetoric and promises with absolutely no substance.  Therefore, I drew up a list of issues that I think each candidate should address in order for America to remain the greatest country on Earth.

1.  Institute a Flat Tax with no exemptions.  This is the only real fair tax for all wage earners.  Congress could decide that the first $40,000 is exempt which would squelch the argument that the poor would unduly suffer from a flat tax.  Also, all tax payers should be given the same exemption no matter the level of income.

2.  Energy independence from foreign countries.  This could be done by the Government assisting with grants for companies developing hydrogen fuel cell cars, battery powered cars, etc.  These cars are already a reality and only need to manufactured.  The Government could offer incentives to those companies and this would also put many Americans to work.  This country needs to add nuclear reactors.  We already have safe, functioning reactors and should add more immediately.  For those that hate nuclear power, they should look around and see how other countries are passing us by.  Also, nuclear reactors could be used to make hydrogen fuel for the hydrogen fuel cell car.  This country also needs to drill as needed to get us off foreign oil.

3.  A real immigration plan which includes sealing off the borders, no path to U.S. citizenship, doing away with the "anchor baby" laws.  If the country decides we need foreign workers, then they should be welcomed with a "guest worker program" with NO path to citizenship.  As our guests, they should not be entitled to any benefits and if they break our laws, should be deported back to their own countries immediately and not allowed to return.

4.  Protect U.S. workers from their jobs transferring overseas.

5.  Stop U.S. intervention in foreign affairs.

6.  Institute health care program which cover all U.S. citizens and people legally in the U.S.  This program would be mandatory and would ensure all people pay into their choice of health care plans.  If they are unable to pay, the U.S. government could then assist with premiums.  The U.S. does not need socialized medicine.  For those that think they should have right to have a health care plan or not to have a plan, they should consider what would happen if they suffered a catastrophic accident or disease.  Who would pay for their health care then?  Yes, the taxpapers.

7.  Revamp the laws to ensure all people in the U.S. are treated the same.

8.  Stop companies and lobbyists from having so much influence in the U.S. government.

9.  Stop judges from legislating from the bench.

10.  Investigate contracting companies that enjoy contracts with the government, both in the U.S. and overseas.

11.  Have Tort reform and getting rid of the "lawsuit mentality."

12.  Push through term limits (one 6-year term for Senators and 3 2-year terms for House members.

13.  Move the United Nations (UN) to a neutral country such as Switzerland and review our relationship with the UN.  Leaving the UN should be considered.

14.  Get rid of Government offices which do little or nothing.

15.  Stop providing aid to countries that do not need our assistance and to countries that do not support us.

16.  Put America First!
